Charlie is a loveable dog and would make a great companion. As Charlie is part Collie he needs lots of exercise such as chasing a ball. He is house trained, friendly with people. He is very reactive to other animals. A dog trainer was able to walk him with his dogs so someone with the knowledge and expertise may be able to prevent Charlie from being aggressive to other dogs. After nearly a year in a home Charlie was returned to the rescue because he chewed the fence trying to get to a neighbours new dogs. Charlie's situation is now quite desperate as he spends most of the day (apart from walks) locked in his kennel with the door shut to avoid him seeing other dogs. We would accept a home with a large secure garden where he does not need to be taken out for walks. Anything would be better than the way he is living at the moment.
Dog walkers notes: Charlie is very good on the lead, walks very nicely and enjoys the walks. When Charlie is off the lead in the field he comes when called, he likes to play with the toy and gets really excited.
