| 30-Jan-2008 | Plantation Dog Rescue really does need your help.... YOU COULD SAVE US! We are struggling to keep your local Dog Rescue Centre ‘Plantation Dog Rescue’ running. We need to raise £4,000 a month to keep the rescue open. Most of our dogs were due to be put to sleep when we rescued them from the crowded council run kennels in Yorkshire. We assess, vaccinate, microchip, neuter, flea and worm each dog. We also do some basic training with them to make it easier for them to find a suitable home. We check all the homes and do an annual check on each dog. Since January 2005 we have rescued and rehomed nearly 200 dogs from Yorkshire and other areas and completed many people’s families. With your help we can continue to give these dogs the chance that they deserve. We receive most of our food from very generous food collections in local supermarkets but at the moment we have very few direct debits/standing orders which are what Plantation Dog Rescue really needs to secure a future for the many unwanted and abandoned dogs in the UK. Not only do we have the veterinary bills to pay, but all the everyday running costs too. 100 people could donate £40 per month 200 people could give £20 per month 400 people could give £10 per month 800 people could donate £5 per month We also have the option of sponsoring a dog. You can pick one of the dogs and come and visit it, you will be sent a certificate and photos until the dog is rehomed. For more details please speak to Ruth or Emma.
